Happy New Year!

Welcome back everyone! Happy 2014!  Hopefully everyone had a great holiday season!  While I had a great break, I was happy to get back into a routine this week.  Here is a bit of what we've been working on in math this week:)

This week we've worked on doubles facts and doubles subtraction facts.  A doubles fact is when the same number is added together like, 4+4=8.  So the doubles subtraction fact for this equation would be 8-4=4. 

Here's a little look at the game we played.  Students spun the spinner for a doubles subtraction fact then moved their cube around the game board as many spaces as the difference.
